PGP Computers provides our customers with a variety of professional and technical services at affordable rates.
In-Office and In-Home Services
Our In-Office and In-Home services are charged at an hourly rate and will incur a trip charge. Trip charges are per incident, so if your service requires an additional trip, you won't need to pay a trip charge each time. |

In-Office and In-Home Trip Charge - $20.00 per incident. |
In-Store Services
Our In-Store Rates vary dependent on the service required. Most In-Store services have a fixed rate irregardless of the time required to make the repair. Of course the cost of parts, tax and any shipping charges are additional. It is often times much cheaper to bring your computer into the store for repair vs. In-Office or In-Home repair services. |
| General Systems Diagnostics
Includes systems diagnostics to determine the nature of a system failure and an estimated cost of repairing the problem. No repairs are made prior to receipt of an authorization to proceed with the repair. |
| | Software Diagnostics - $60.00
Includes troubleshooting of software related problems including system bootup errors, specific program errors and the like. This level of diagnostics does NOT require any system disassembly and reassembly.
Hardware Diagnostics - $60.00
Includes troubleshooting of hardware related problems including optical drive errors, sound and video problems and the like. This level of diagnostics does NOT require any system disassembly and reassembly.
Hardware Diagnostics with Disassembly - $80.00
Includes troubleshooting of hardware related problems including memory issues, cooling and fan problems, broken power jacks and the like. This level of diagnostics REQUIRES system disassembly and reassembly. This level typically applies only to notebook computers and gaming PC's. |
| General System Maintenance - $80.00
Includes removal of temporary program files; startup program and overall system performance optimization; removal of expired and/or unwanted software; installation and/or update of antivirus and antispyware software; complete system scan and removal of found viruses and spyware. In-Store General System Maintenance also includes cleaning inside and outside of computer and performing all available Microsoft Windows updates. |
| General Repair and/or Upgrade - $80.00 per Hour
Includes general system repair as determined by system diagnostics and/or system upgrade per client request. Cost of actual replacement/upgrade parts, tax and any shipping associated additional. |
| Complete System Restoration - $195.00
System restoration includes removal and recreation of primary partition; formatting the hard drive; installing Microsoft Windows operating system*; installing system device drivers; installing Microsoft Windows updates; installing utility programs including the current versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Flash Player, Apple Quicktime Player, Apple iTunes, and Sun Microsystems Java Runtime Environment; installing any additional software provided by the customer*; installing antivirus and antispyware software and updates; performing functionality tests on all installed programs; performing system scans for viruses and spyware and removing any found infected files.
*Please Note: Customer must provide OEM or upgrade software at time of repair and/or upgrade. Replacement software will be provided at customer expense. PGP Computers will NOT install pirated or "borrowed" software. |
| Data Backup and Recovery
We will make every effort to recover your personal and/or business files from your hard drive. We will NOT be responsible for any lost or damaged files or programs. We highly recommend you backup any personal and/or business data you deem important prior to having your computer serviced. |

Includes backup of personal and/or business data (as outlined by customer) from a hard drive which does NOT need to be removed from the original system.
Data Backup with Hard Drive Removal - $60.00 plus shop supplies
Includes backup of personal and/or business data (as outlined by customer) from a hard drive which needs to be removed from the original system. This is often required on systems which are heavily embedded with viruses and/or spyware or systems with bootup problems.
Data Recovery - $Varies ($40.00 to $160.00) plus shop supplies
Includes recovery of lost data or data readily accessible on a hard drive. This is often required on systems which have crashed and no longer boot, user accounts with lost passwords, or hard drive failures. While we will make every attempt to recover your lost data, we will NOT be responsible for any lost or damaged files. |
| Equipment Disposal and Recycling Services
PGP Computers now offers used equipment disposal and recycling services. This would include any used, obsolete, damaged, defective, etc. computer related equipment that you no longer want to collect dust in your basement or storage area. This is a FREE service to our customers. Equipment which is relatively current and reusable is recycled or donated; equipment which is damaged, defective or obsolete is disassembled and disposed of in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. |

This includes the disposal and/or recycling of any computer equipment other than CRT monitors. Examples include:
~ Computers (towers, desktops, laptops, etc.)
~ Printers (printers, copiers, fax machines, All-in-One printers, etc.)
~ Peripherals (keyboard, mouse, speakers, web cams, etc.)
~ Surge Protectors (surge protectors, battery backups, etc.)
~ Miscellaneous Parts (motherboards, power supplies, modems, etc.)
Monitor Disposal/Recycling - $15.00 per item
This includes ANY CRT monitor of any size. CRT monitors require special disposal processes due to the hazardous waste (Mercury) contained in the picture tube. Please do NOT throw these items in your trash can!!

Accepted Payment
We currently accept Cash, Local Checks (with ID), Certified Checks, Money Orders, Debit Cards, and Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard and Discover) for the amount of purchase only. Sorry, we are no longer able to extend credit. A 50% deposit is required on all repairs and/or upgrades requiring the purchase of parts. All services are payable upon completion of work unless previous arrangements have been made. The customer is responsible for all charges incurred during the collection of bad debts and NSF checks. Any equipment left over 30 days will become the property of PGP Computers, Inc. and may be disposed of or sold to recover outstanding charges.
Our Warranty
Labor is warrantied for 30 days from the date of service; new parts are warrantied by the manufacturer; used parts carry no warranty. Damage caused by abuse, power surge, virus and/or spyware voids the warranty. PGP Computers is not responsible for keeping a copy of customer data after delivery of the computer. Any saved data will be disposed of within 30 days of completion of service unless immediate disposal is requested. |
